JORI Logistics was founded in 1992 by husband and wife team, Rick and Josee Woods.
Rick began his customs brokerage career through a serendipitous internship and quickly became passionate about helping importers and exporters turn international logistics into a competitive advantage. Rick is known for the twinkle in his eye that peeks through in every customer meeting. His commitment to customer service is the foundation on which JORI was built on.
Josee’s commitment to excellence and keen eye for detail turned Rick’s visionary idea of JORI into a reality. As a cofounder, Josee brought the sense of family to the JORI team and that’s how we continue to operate today.
Together, Rick and Josee invested their savings to get JORI started. Their four kids – Neil, Tanya, Alisha and Sam – grew up talking business around the dinner table. At JORI, we understand how hard it is to run a successful business because we are entrepreneurs ourselves. That’s why we believe it’s so important for your global logistics and customs brokerage to run easily and seamlessly.
JORI is now a second-generation family owned and operated business. The passion and tenacity Rick and Josee instilled over 25-years ago has built a track record we’re proud of. Our client relationships, some of which are as old as we are, have grown to include some of Canada’s foremost importers and exporters.
